First job back in the 50's was electro plating only Anodes were in in the solution objects were suspended from external rods which completed the circuit either by wire or a jig you had to make instant connection as you attached least movement you could double plate. Everything from taps to Bumpers all were flash copper plated then either Bright Nickel which was then chromed or dull nickelled (Bumpers) which then went back to the polishing shop before chroming

Yes I'm up on the top where The radio station was. Sailing still but not with the club. Still free parking to but that is in Jeopardy they did close the esplanade off to cars during the first lockdown. Do you still visit👍

Will do Pete I've read a fair bit about it but never new there was another convoy of Lst's passing lucky for them Jerry was out of Torpedoes as they passed or that the 2 destroyers chasing Jerry fired on the convoy.

To those interested in this S-Boot raid I have just watched a documentary By Plymouth university via a Zoom lecture. Apart from a couple of shots of them at sea and the narrator is on theS-130 there seems to be new evidence of the event.Very interesting.Within the next week it will be available on their website.

Irony being the original was designed as a launch for a German business man who also happened to be Jewish.There was an original S130 I think, down in Devon being rebuilt don't know if it still is.

Hi what scale your s-boot mine is 1/24 used to run on 3 mfa 850's came down to 1 brushed motor and 1 prop now as fast or faster. the Weight and current draw of 3 negated the power

Why should I or anyone I have nowt for sale its over a month appreciate it may be a problem to reinstate it .Nevertheless what a sloppy method to post individual items all over the place.I for one don't trawl through all the posts . There was a dedicated section before put it back as it was .I did not realise creating a post gave you the right to tell people what they may or may not complain about
