Tyne-class lifeboat Shoreham-by-Sea:
In 1990 Shoreham life boat station was supplied with a new Tyne-class lifeboat. She was the RNLB Hermione Lady Colwyn (ON 1158). The Hermione Lady Colwyn was on station from 1990 until 2010 and during that period she was launched to service 414 times and she rescued 458 people. 72 of these were classed as medical emergency but she is credited with saving the lives of 39 people. After the withdrawal of Hermione Lady Colwyn in April 2010, the station was served by various relief fleet Tynes until the new Tamar-class entered service in December 2016

Morning All
I’m just about to start building a 1/12 Tyne class model that the wife got me for a birthday. The hull is from models by design but is now owned by mount fleet models
I wanted to go brushless motors this time around and have never used them before. Already had some help on that subject from you guys around the ESC and wire cutting. I’m going to build this model on the tyne that was base at shoreham before it got the Tamar class. Will keep you all posted on the progress

Thanks Dave yes that’s what I was thinking. How much is this going to cost me if I get this wrong. New motors new ESC. Thanks for your help. Being as you have saved me, the cost is time and yours and others so I’m going to make a donation to the web site for up keep. That the lest I can do.

I'm very new to this brushless world and not quite sure what a ESC or BEC is yet. is one of them a speed controller. I think I'm being a bit thick here and do not want to cut or remove the wrong red wire. As there a few. May have to send you guys a photo

Honestly not to well at the moment. Having problems with the hull and lining up the decking as it two tear at the front. Waiting for some plans and parts that I have ordered. But I love a challenge. Will keep you posted
