Both Are 1/35 scale kits โฆ.I have in my stash of kits Trumpters 1/200 scale Bismarck and HMS Rodney , I hope to add to that HMS Hood , and others โฆbut first need to clear up a couple of older kits / projects for years ago โฆone a 1/32 scale PT boat and an old ABS Robbie Hull that I would like to some day complete as an armed trawlerโฆIf health and a bit of good fortune come my way I dream of a few other projects like a WWI Q ship โฆbut I think that will end up being almost a total scratch build , something I am far from even starting never mind the space and tools neededโฆ

I found building detail photos. I wanted to be able to remove the rigging for transportation and to service below deck. Some plastic parts were exchanged with brass tubing, I also used wire loops found at a jewelry making store.
The mast slips into a brass tube. The rigging is elastic thread which gives tension but also removable by using small wire hooks. Look closely in the upper corners of the open hatch and the lead ballast weights can be seen. A velcro sling above the stuffing box (yellow strip in top of photo) A single brushed motor is used along with a smaller NiHM battery which fits nicely in a velcro sling above the stuffing box. Receiver is kept nice and dry in the wheelhouse ▲

As you stated below I installed screws in the deck that did not use the kits or their locations โฆ.along with RTV โฆ.as to access I us the hatch just behind the open bridge , any major work will require the decks removalโฆI try to keep water access to the inside of the hull to a minimum via hatches and the like until my skills or means improve with waterproofingโฆ

Before screwing down the deck to the hull, I applied a bead of clear silicon to seal out water.

How did you create a hatch to access below deck and make adjustments to your rudder post linkage if needed?
Also, to add ballast? ▲

As part of the plan in the raid this Vosper would successfully launch two special torpedoes at water control flood gates to the dry dock , the โcageโ was to push the anti torpedo net out of the way so they could be launched over the net , where they run and sunk by the gate and to later blow by a timer causing major damage that was repaired but delayed the use of the docks . It is sad that on completing the mission and then picking up wounded and survivors in trying to make an escape only to be hit with gun fire and sunk with only two survivorsโฆ..

Who else is gonna know if the pattern is right or wrong BW?
I must say though I was wondering about that frame over the bow, but wadda I know about that? ZILCH! I'm also looking forward to seeing both your Vosper On Patrol and tackling the Schnellboot. BTW; the Lรผrssen hull design of the Schnellboot lived on for many years. In the early 90s I spent some time in Guayaquil naval harbour Ecuador surveying their Lรผrssen TNC-45 Fast Attack Craft, amongst other vessels, for COMMS system updates. Basic hull design was exactly the same. Somewhere I have GA drawings of the TNC-45 if anyone's interested in building an 'updated' Schnellboot. Steady as you go BW๐, and stop trying to hide your whatsit under a bushel.๐ Cheers, Doug ๐ ▲

It really is a mess ,there is a reason I only got back views of the poor crew โฆ.๐ฌ.. I am still figuring out how to do pattern paint on a warship ,,,I have much to learn ..as to research I had only the on photo in โVospers in Action โ book and even that in my opinion shows her still being fitted out and only front on viewโฆ.In the end I had to guess and to trust the instructionsโฆ.I am the mess in the middle โฆshe should look good underway and at a distance, just donโt look close .I am really looking forward to getting both Vospers out and the schnellboot at the pond this weekend and will post video if all goes well โฆ
