Picked up a free hull it was a Dumas Boat SKDADDLE- Too was a high-speed racing model boat The model was designed for a gas motor & outrigger prop. I'm not a real fan of high-speed model boats so decided to make an old-style runabout So removed 2 inches down the center to make hull width 9 in. down from a width of 11 in. Next gluing two parts together & raising the sides a couple of inches higher. I know some will thing I should have kept it as SKDADDLE- Too but you got to do what you feel is a better model.

Interesting bit of boat surgery there, filleted comes to mind and a very neat job you made of it, proving it doesn't only apply to fish. Regards, Gary.

Just a little update because Winter is a long time, so I'll be taking my time. Got the two hulls glued together & sealed with some two-part finishing epoxy. Needed to order a prop & stuffing box from China probably will take a while to get. Made up a deck sheet & now I need to think about type of boat Tugboat, Chris Craft or Speed boat. I added a little slogan I found on my liquor box & thought it is appropriate for model boat builders. We all have had boats get wet from rain; sunlight sometimes sticks models to stands & damages paint, volatile wives etc.

Snowed last night so it must be winter . Carried on with my winter project & have decided to Build the Andria Gale .I built the 14inch Billings kit that was a static model that I converted to a running model only problem with it was it was very unstable in a windy day this summer at Spencer's pool & just like the movie it sank . Installed motor & stuffing box & also sealed hull with two part finishing epoxy . I'll just eye the Billings model to get a rough version of Andria Gale which will be bigger.πŸ€”πŸ€”P/S I think I'm Addicted to Maxwell House Mocha CafΓ©.

Made a mistake started another blog in the wrong spot anyway noticed that my Andria Gale bow was not like the Billings model which had a sharp angle bow so remade bow area after a lot off trial & errors much better now Used balsa wood & sanded a bow that has a sharper angle

#1 Lights . got navigation lights from local hobby store promptly broke wires to light's . Replaced with 3 volt L.E.D's . #2 I used old tech to turn lights on-off Servo- Micro switch method so got a electronic switch to turn lights on , off & again messed up as my Fly Sky transmitter had to be programed to get switch's to work on it & I delete all the setting on the transmitter & had to google to do it right again. #4 Figured out how to power lights from a 3 volt battery box in hull area used 2 medal contacts to feed power to lights in wheel house #5 Had to figure out how to power up model used a wall & switch for a toggle switch .#5 My first method of getting into model was 2 parts of wheel house removal & then aft deck removal . This was to time consuming so combined both parts into One part for removal. #6 next will be wiring of the electronic lighting switch & permanent placement of speed control, receiver battery for lights & power .

Had a problem can't load any photo's so I'll just say that my lighting would not work properly if I operated the rudder the lights would go off & on as the rudder operated I was using the electronic switch & thought that it was malfunctioning so went back to the tried & true method microswitch & servo arm trip & the same problem. Noticed that the light servo & micro switch was chattering .Replaced the digital rudder servo with a Analog servo & problem went away. P/S still can't load any photos .☹️
