    this is a here is one some made earlier, its a wooden ribbed hull the planked and veneers in wooden planks and painted and varnished,the tiller flat is made from a fruits de exotic box the wis from what ever was to hand a real on board ship job its driven by a big brushed motor with single prop with oiled prop tube the hull is weighted with 8 oz forward and four match boxes of lead low down ether side of the hull

    what happened today on a very windy wet day here in Cornwall. now started on a simple forward hull floor the with hide the battery in position then construct the hold. I like hold to look like hold just a giant hole into the boat

    having figured out where to pit the battery i am going to power it with a NIMH battery in the middle of the ship and fit the speed controller and radio in the mid hold area, I don't want to tidy it up to much as its charm is the Heres one some some one knocked up look i found a date of 1958 scribbled on the mid deck and Mexico so I can assume it was made aboard a boat then

    According to a ex sailor its the mv Catford he sailed on the new ship first built for the metropolitan gas company in 1948 after several owners and two major alterations the ship with mast layouts she became the mv Olivia and following a fire on board and in turn a major explosion the ship sank on 8th July 1971

    Trying not to alter this boat much as its crude build is its charm and it rustic build out of all sorts don to washing up bottle funnel and old wooden GlacΓ© fruits box lid have a mast to replace then sort its simple motor system bath test went off ok and sits well
