I took the plunge and ordered the Krick Finnmarken kit.
After some 18 months or so I’m calling it finished (for the moment).
It’s a challenging model, but I’m pleased with the overall result. It’s far from museum quality and I have left out many small details.
My biggest challenge now is to find somewhere to put it.

Well done, a nice job. I am in the process of building one myself(see my blog). I have reached the stage of sorting the wiring, I hopefully have nearly finished as am trying to do connections between the decks for the lights, I might contact you if I have any more problems!👍👍👍 len ▲

for RC model the interior detail is irrelevant, weight and balance is the critical issue. Getting everything to fit perfectly together was the tricky bit.

complete top deck is removable for good access to interior for fitting batteries and lots of ballast. Very difficult to do and still have all the internal structure fitting within the side walls. Must be a dedicated RC model so the internal bulkheads must be completely ground out after construction. I will send pic of deck removed later

The kit is designed for rc. Mine is static.
Decks can be made removable for access. ▲

nice build. the challenge is to make it RC which requires lots of re design of structure. Important to allow maximum hull access and minimum weight above the waterline for stability. I will post mine soon
