Hi there, I built this model a good few years with the help of the late John Lambert and the Historian, James D Dorrian and it's coming up to the anniversary of the Raid on St Nazaire to which this Launch (which I built) was based on. It was ML268 and was classed as a free French Launch; so here is a build of mine in pictures.

Lovely to see the mahogany double diagonal planking, just like the originals. Excellent model. A number were made into motor yacht post 1945, and very nice they were too, I remember seeing one in Dover fitted with eight tractor motors, four on each shaft. She belonged to a tractor manufacturer!

    Cheers,
    Nerys

    Exquisite! ๐Ÿ˜Ž
Esp. the diagonal planking, what a shame to have to hide it under admiralty grey paint๐Ÿค”
I also have many John Lambert plans, esp. his WW2 weaponry series, but he never popped round to help me ๐Ÿ˜ญ
Hat off for a really excellent museum quality result, Cheers, Doug ๐Ÿ˜Ž
BTW; apropos Operation Chariot; I have a 1:240 kit of Campbeltown I'm considering 'kit bashing' as she was modified for the raid to look like a German Torpedo Boat.
Then converting to RC a la 'Plastic Magic'.
