Doug RNinMunich, I saw a comment the other day concerning 40 Mhz: Frequency's/Channels.
There used to be a very comprehensive channel list in a Multiplex SX Cockpit Handbook. Think it covered Germany and France Frequency allocations, Just a thought, Stay Safe. Muddy ▲

Whoops, i should stick to my day job, i'll have another go, " not being to fussy about the laying of the planks" was intended to relate to the deck planks and only those, sorry , and of course with planking as you say a little assistance in the waterproofing on the inside would be of a great help, generally use any of the things lying about, Glass Fibre resin, Varnish , Dope or even Household Paint, The resin works for me, as it is quick drying and two part epoxy's will stick to it after a "KEY" is made... Thanks for pointing that misleading point, Stay Safe.

Coming on very well Muddyπ
"not being to fussy with the planks as i wanted the joint's to show through the paint, " Nevertheless Muddy, to be on the safe side I would seal the hull inside and out with resin. Water based Deluxe Materials Ezekote is the cleanest, quickest and easiest way. With some glass fibre tissue on the inside if the planks need 'caulking'.π Cheers, Doug π ▲

Thanks Martin, I have a very understanding Wife, if she can find me. But when the shed door is closed its a No Entry Zone ! ! ! There's a lock on the inside. She did put the wind up me last week, i found her rummaging through the old sideboard and waving paint brushes about, i came over all funny and retired, some call it hiding, i call it being carefull. Best Regards Muddy AR SK....

OK, 4' wow ! at 40" its a nice size and not to big, She was started in 2014 and only got her bottom wet once.
I,m rather fortunate the Jotika the Model Emporium is only just up the road, and a very friendly gang, helpfull to the utmost, the information that gleams from there, you have to visit .. I,m trying to stay one step ahead, that is before all this -19 stuff, but when a visit occurs like this one, order a piece of ply 4' x 9", and 10 squares of 13" x 8" and a few mins: later it all appears precut from the stock sheets.. or something very similar. it has been known that rumaging about to come across a set of precut ply squares and not identified as to what they relate lol.. very handy for ( Foo-Par days ).. It's one I always wanted to build and even had the plans enlarged to 4'. I may live long enough! You must have a fair old stock of ply in that shed! Stay safe.

Hello, Thank you for the information. Another reason for this build was at the time about 2014 was asked if i had a warship for a display commemorating the great war, and the following war WW2, but mentioned about this Dunkirk boat and the build was started, unfortunately illness took over and it went on hold so missed the display. Did have a note about the plan itself and will look it up, so thank you again all interesting stuff.. Regards Muddy

This looks like the Gwen Eagle which was built by Wm Osborne and Sons and is listed as being lost at Dunkirk. If it is, I also have the plan and the hull was 40" long x 11" beam. It was included in the List of Working Drawings of Harold Underhill in a Bassett Lowke catalogue published by Brown, Son and Ferguson of Glasgow. The plan wasn't one of Underhill's but described as 'Shipwright Plans' prepared by Mr B. Reeve and Mr P.W. Thomas. I have just checked the website of Brown, Son and Ferguson and they don't seem to list that drawing anymore.
There are numerous pictures of this boat on the internet and apparently the boat was featured in Scale Model Ships by Reeve and Thomas in 1951according to Colin Bishop in a post on Mayhem in March 2015. Another beautiful boat. ▲
