Have just purchased this old kit that was going to be skipped after a house clearance. It's an all wooden construction so a lot of fret and jigsaw work. I think the kit is from the 80's, made in Eastern Europe.

This little boat looks very interesting.
Lucky that you managed to save it from the skip.

    Hi
Thanks for the offer of translation but the build instructions that I have are in English.

    You're right DaveπŸ‘
    A Czech company.
The model is of a Norwegian fishing boat and I believe that the building instructions are in German and Norwegian only.
Can't help you with Norwegian but if you get stuck I can translate from the German for you.
There's some vids of building and sailing her on You Tube; e.g.

This is the third model that I have made that has a planked hull, first was a static model of a Danish old cargo sailing vessel, second was a RIVA speedboat. This ARTUR is an old kit that was in someones loft for years and never been built so I am giving it life! All the best with yours.

    Hi Dave
Mighy fine Lookin’ Artur. Doing a great job. Is this your first?
Artur was the boat that I had planned to build, but β€œchanged horses” and chose NAXOS. I am rather happy I did that because it provides a build blog for each fishing boat type. I sort of wish now that I had a bit more experience In planking, because I now see how it all fits together and with better glue (cyano) I think I could a better job.

All the best to you in your build, and I am looking forward to see the final product.

    Cheers

"I think you will find using EZY KOTE a joy to use with glass fiber."
    I like it DaveπŸ‘
Saved my bacon (and nose) restoring the hulls of an ancient Billing Boats fish cutter and an ELCO PTB.
Diluted with water it also makes a great wood sealer, hardener/stabiliser😊
Can't understand the problems others have reported having with it!
Each to his own taste (or sense of smellπŸ™Š) I suppose.
    Cheers, Doug 😎

Funny, during one of my occasional sleepless nights last night I was looking at your build log and wondering when we might see some more. Fantastic progress and lovely work, well done. I, for one, am looking forward to more.

I had forgotten this was an old kit but if anyone is interested I believe I spotted the drawing on Aerofred.

I did fibreglass the hull with Eze Kote and a very light sheet of silk like material. I didn't take any photos at the time, but it was a very easy process to do.

Considering this kit was going to get thrown in a skip
You have done a super job on her Dave.
    Well done.

Don't forget to put her in your Harbour.
