Hi Brian.
To move it now would mean quite a bit of coping and pasting, plus the loss of members points. So i think it is best left. Martin555. ▲

Agree with you too Martinπ
This belongs in the Forum, perhaps 'Building Related' section. Putting it up as a Blog earns 4 points when in fact it isn't a Blog at all! Cheers, Doug π ▲

I agree with you Colinπ
Brian: As a sealer I use EzeKote (Deluxe Materials) diluted with 10 to 15% water, so that it soaks in better and adds strength to the wood. Then a coat of neat EzeKote. You can then wash the brush with water and a little washing up liquidπ Flat back with 400 / 600 wet and dry, prime, fill as necessary, re-prime. Flat back with 600 / 1000 grit and your ready to go with the paint of your choice. Unless, like me, you want authentic naval colours then Halfords rattle cans seem to be the paint of choice these days. Except for guys like me who don't have a Halfords within a 1000km.π€ Just make sure that primer and top colour are compatible! I.e. same type, don't mix acrylic and enamel for instance cos it might wrinkleβΉοΈ Cheers, Doug π ▲

Agree with Colin Ezekote for me has turned out to be a good choice .It' easy to use no smell very little time to dry and sanding is easy.

Hi Brian,
This post should be under the "Forum Topic" section. Colin is right you may have to go online. I think in times like this we have to use whatever we can get hold of. Martin555. ▲

Brian, I have the same issues with not being able to get to a supplier, I have to order on line.
If you can't do this, or you have a lot of paints to choose from, then as its only for sealing any type of outdoor paint will do. If you can order online then get Ezekote, it's odorless and is dry in less than 30 minutes. It's what I use on all my wooden models. Cheers Colin. ▲

SA is in a mild lockdown, but due to the 5 month harsh lockdown many model shops don't have stock. SA have a lot of containers lying in the dockyards! Still awaiting certain Tamiya products are available but due to them being locked down as well I can't get Paint till mid December. One of the model shops has literally almost no stock to sell.

Good man, I wish I had a local supplier.
My local model shop only caters for model railway enthusiasts. Cheers Colin. ▲
