Very pretty 👍
"Splice the mainbrace chaps" 😋

Is that a converted Singer treadle sewing machine table I see before me?

Cheers, Doug 😎

Doug if your ever in the Torquay area the Singer museum is worth a visit ,I think everyone's gran had one of the treadle ones ,my grandpa fitted my grans one with an electric motor.😱

Such a great looking model! But she needs her pots, floats, dans and anchors to go to work! There’s a launch party to pay for!
Great job!

Afloat at last !!! - Posted: 7th Jun 2018
But not without incident ! On getting her out of car I snagged the aerial 'Y' on top of 'A' Frame and that said goodbye to that and my dressed ship flags 😭 but apart from that all was good.

She looks "Ship shape and in Bristol fashion" as they say!
Job well done Sir, She is a vessel to be proud of!
You did a great job making a replica of the real one....👍
Response by GrahamP74 on the 7th Jun 2018
I was wondering how it was going and it’s great to see her in the water! She looks perfect, can’t wait to see her full of pots and ready to go!
Great job!
Response by RNinMunich on the 7th Jun 2018
Nice one Cyril👍😉
Like the Launch Trolley as well, given me an idea for some 'recycling' as our lake also has sloping shores and no jetty. Cheers, Doug 😎

Crab Pots in progress ! - Posted: 13th Mar 2018
1/12th scale Crab pots built out of Champagne cork wires, plastic tubing, garlic netting, wire sheathing etc. Don't know what they will fish like !!!😊😉

They look great👍
If the fish like garlic they'll go for it😉 Maybe Sprats or Winnows 😉
I imagine the preparation 'material gathering' was fun 😊
Cheers Doug 😎

As a mark of respect of the loss and for a fellow modelmaker the stack of fish boxes I have made for Emily PII has one from DH142...

Mizzen/Steadying Sail - Posted: 26th Oct 2017
Mizzen/Steadying Sail in place but needs tweaking ! It will only be used for display purposes as it was only used when hauling pots to keep the boat into wind, not as an underway aid ! I dread to think what effect it would have on the model underway on our lake !!! 😱

Pond Trials!!! - Posted: 14th Oct 2017
She Floats !!! And on her marks !!! Albeit a slight list to the Port side which is due to her open working starboard side and is a characteristic of the real deal. To say I am chuffed is an understatement after first starting the build 36 years ago !!!

Absolutely brilliant! Well done my friend! It's a great feeling to see them in the water! I've ordered a battery today so mine will be complete very soon!!

Painted steelwork - Posted: 22nd Sep 2017
Steel (Brass) all painted now in matt black will follow up with Satin Cote so not to have too glossy finish !

Trouble is I can't get in to ageing and distressing things. The real boat never had this sparkle when it was launched. I used to run my own car valeting business so I am a stickler for everything being A1 so its alien to me to make things look dirty or used I suppose !!! I'll have to live with it !!! 😊
Response by GrahamP74 on the 2nd Oct 2017
I know what you mean! I thought the first model I did looked lovely before the treatment but once the rust was added the whole model became 'real'! Rust is something that goes with the territory on a fishing boat! And we mustn't forget mud on the hull if she sits in it!!!
Response by rolfman2000 on the 2nd Oct 2017
Sorry Alan. I thought it was about time I got something arse about face 😂 in that case...

Very nice indeed Alan 😊
