Having took 5 hours to paint the main deck. After removing the tape. Have noticed I have to do some touchup painting. As the tape didn't adhere to where I put it!😡 So, will spend tomorrow doing some touching up!😤 Attached Photos - Click To View Large |

OK, couldn't wait painted the main cabin deck! I'm using Humbrol #RC417 Coach roof off white! Couldn't find the right light grey in matt finish! So, decided on the coach roof off white. Which looks like a shade of light grey! Have put three coats! Will put another coat for good measure! Have to let it dry over night! To then paint the main cabin boarder...... Three days painting windows. Thought I'd never finish! The handrails turn out a little crooked, don't know how! It's a good thing I don't drink! Now onto the Captain's cabin roof and the fiddley deck roof! Soon, I'll be able to paint the main cabin deck! Maybe tomorrow, will be a good day to paint the main cabin deck! I've painted the portside. Now to do the Starboard side! Then, I'm done with the windows! Of everything I've done of the Brooklyn. The windows were the most challenging of all...…. Oh, As I paint each window. I then remove the tape I had place to protect the windows then selves! Luckily the windows are 10mm wide. So, I ordered 10mm wide masking tape! It worked like a charm. I think Doug, RNinMunich did a recommendation on using the tape. Thanks Doug!👍 Attached Photos - Click To View Large |

OK, just realized there is some over spray on the Captain's cabin windows! On the inside that is. Too late to do anything about it! Chalk it up to experience I guess!😲😤 Good thing the pilot house windows. Where protected by the pilot house roof! Attached Photos - Click To View Large |

The Brooklyn's pilot house is made of clear plastic. That's got groves indentations and so forth! You have to tape up the windows. before you paint them! Then you have to paint the window frames. after you paint the pilot house! I used spray paint for the pilot house. So, I have to be patient and accurate! I should be done by this Sunday! If not OK Monday or even Tuesday! Attached Photos - Click To View Large |

OK, I started painting the windows on the Brooklyn. I miscalculated there's 19 windows not 17! I figure 3 coats each should do! What do you guys think. Should I put more than 3 coats? I'm using Humbrol #70 Brick Red matt! Attached Photos - Click To View Large |
