Getting there bit by bit, Cannons came out better than expected on the mini lathe so happy with them.
Just started to lay the deck down and hopefully start the detailing on the hull soon

Nice work so far Mark👍
Dunk them in EzeKote (Deluxe Materials) before you paint them 😉
I might have been more inclined to make the trucks and wheels from a close grained hard wood though! Cheers Doug 😎

Thanks for the advise, luckily I've only made one cannon so far so I'll definitely look into it👍

Hi Mark, box wood would be good👍
Which mini lathe do you have?
I use the little Proxxon FD150/E for small, smaller and smallest jobs.😉
Happy turning, Doug 😎

As the title says this is my first build of model ship, I always wanted to build so no time like the present.
I am building it from scratch as i was told that it would be easier that way and there are no kits available for the ship i wanted to build. Having fun doing it anyway and so far so good although it will take a long time to finish but its a labour of love so i don't mind that too much.

A 'weighty' project Mark 👍
Will watch with interest, especially when you get to the deck and rigging details! 😲 Enjoy, cos that's the whole idea 😉 Cheers Doug 😎
