Just an idea. You could contact a local dive club and see if they would like the experience of working under water? Martin.

    46" RAF Crash Tender
Hi Nerys, nice to hear from youπŸ‘ No news yet on the 'Peking' / 'Arethusa' I'm afraid. Will let you know as soon as I hear anything. My 'feelers' are out πŸ˜‰ Re RN wooden decks. Yes you are quite correct as far as the larger vessels, such as cruisers and battleships / battlecruisers, were concerned. This had also occurred to me. But not for the 'little ships'; destroyers, corvettes and coastal craft etc as far as I know. And certainly not varnished as you say πŸ‘ Cheers, Doug 😎

Is that 321 new P for 20 sheets (assuming it's not just for 1) if so not too bad, about the same as mine from Aussie.

    Steampunk Pike.
Here is my Steampunk Pike. She is still a work in progress. Eventually it will be static dive. Length 40" Width 11" Height 14" There is still a lot to do including weathering. Martin.
    Mermaid sport fisherman
Mermaid is built from a fiberglass hull I purchased on ebay. I saw it several times a finally gave in and purchased it. It is from "bhc" and it is a good quality product. They have many types of hulls but no plans so you are one your own. I decided it would be a sport fisherman with a cuddy cabin and outboard motor. I made many cardboard patterns till I was satisfied. I always wanted to try an outboard. Motor shell was purchased from Graupner and fitted with and Astro 05 motor that I had on hand. (I may change that). Haven't really tried it yet, but goes well in the Jacuzzi. It not quite finished yet Graphics are by "Callies" they are an internet company that will make you anything you want a reasonable price. They were very understanding and cooperative. I highly recommend them. It was much cheaper and easier than buying your own vinyl cutter
    Wee Nip, Ruf Red
Wee Nip, Ruf Red. Donated to me by a friend. Radio; frsky telemetry, battery voltage, Hitec sail winch. She sails well and is quite enjoyable, even I my unskilled hands.
    Schooner
Small scratch built static model of a Schooner made quite a few years ago. Length 6" Height 51/2" Beam 1" I made this when I was in between projects.
    34" Crash Tender
Here is my Crash Tender together with the homemade 27MHz transmitter. Built in the early 1970s. The collage photo is from 45 years ago, sailing on the boating lake in Llanfairfechan, North Wales. Recently rescued from the garage covered in dust. Diesel replaced with brushless motor and on the water again. Now in dry dock for a major refit!
    Puffer
Built from Mountfleet kit. Chain drive operates Rudder . Puffer sound, whistle, smoke generator, working lights Navigation and interior also flickering orange and red for boiler fire.all switched from transmitter.
    The Scout
Lovely boat under going major refit.
    3660kv speed boat
Well I purchased a hugely powerful brushless motor, (before I realised it was over the top!) so paired it up with something that might handle it!, 4ft long, fibreglass hull, 150amp esc, first water trials sucked a 12v 5amp (what I had at the time) dry in 4 minutes! Put an ammeter on it and it’s drawing 40amps! It’s all trial and error and learning on the way!
