Hi firefighter, good choice. Model Boats did a review build and the builder completed th e model in a week. The laser cut parts need to be positioned very accurately as they are a precise fit. This shows on the skins mainly.
When checking if bulkheads are square and upright use a ruler and check the diagonals are equal.
I did some swaps for my one and it was minimally assembled not in the right order I might add and I was able to correct the very small error.
The building instructions and drawings should be followed as this is the best way to build her. My one had the keel weights screwed in place (way ahead of time) and I suspect the hull had been left on its side and the keel twisted and bent.
This probably the only thing wrong with the kit as I have fitted extra wood each side of the keel to strengthen it.
If I were to give the build instructions a score I would give them 95%. I have some experience here and this is the highest score I have ever given.
Good luck there are several builder/owners on the site and help is always available.
