I should have posted this earlier but have been beavering away in the workshop since my East Coat Tour.
Managed to visit the RNPSA museum in Lowestoft, a superb place with lots of information about minesweepers and a huge collection of models, many built by those serving on the ships.
I learned so much more from looking at the photos and models so I had to redo some of the work on my BYMS build as I picked up loads of detail missing from the plans.
The team found a large photo of 2079 and a build sheet, gave me copies for free but we did leave a decent donation when leaving.
Would encourage anyone with an interest in minesweepers to visit them, they have a huge archive and thousands of pictures.
Also popped into the Lowestoft Maritime Museum, another superb place with loads of models. It is a minute walk from the RNPSA museum
