I too use various sizes of soft bristle make up brushes. But I didn't have to steal them JP๐ After a visit here in Munich 2004 by my parents and my sister me dear old Mum (RIP) sent me a complete set of all sizes. My sister sent me a mini 6V vacuum cleaner. They had witnessed me struggling to dust my larger models (1m plus). I still use them 20 years later. Happy dusting people๐ Cheers, Doug๐

Young at heart ๐ Slightly older in other places.๐ Cheers Doug
I have a small like pump brush with very fine brissles. I think I bought it from a camera shop as it designed to be used for cleaning lenses etc. I find it good for cleaning/dusting small intricate parts. I am sure if you go to a camera shop that specialises in cameras they will be able to help. Mr Google may be a starting point as well. Cheers Ian. ๐

Iโve always used a combination of Dust-off canned air and fine sable make-up brushes that I have stolen from my wife and daughterโs make-up bags. ๐

A collection of items... depending on the size of the model and the detail parts. Paint brushes of various sizes to get in the nooks and crannies to loosen the dust. Compressed air to blow off the parts. I would use a filter (recirculating air) system with a good (HEPA) filter to clear the air.
If you use a vacuum cleaner stretch a piece of fine mesh material over the nozzle in case any small parts come off. Beats going through the vacuum's dust collector. (I 3D printed a new nozzle with a lot of small holes in it.)
At an IPMS show they had a air brush available for entrants to dust off their models. I have a little hand gun for my airbrush compressor, but you could use the air brush itself (of course without paint).
All that is for "dusting". Some environments seem to have a gummier residue in the dust and you might have to get more aggressive. Do sample testing first.

What do you use to dust off your models? I don't have room for display cases. Issue with knocking off pieces. and getting around small oblects, railing and such. Vacum is to big and sucks up pieces, ๐ Thank you
