Riva boat

JFF I tried printing a few dials in 'finest' quality on hi-res 240g/m2 glossy photo paper. Also gives a raised effect! 👍😊

Aha!
BTW Guys; don't forget to fix the prints with a light spray and keep your itchy fingers off 'em until they are really really dry! 😉
Happy fiddling, Doug 😎

HI Doug, PDF has landed, much appreciated, my comment about the dials, the scale boys have superb dial covers in many sizes, dials are not flat, as in lacquer covered, they are raised, like the old style car gauges.

I would have thought a spray coat of clear varnish would be better.
Boat's dials are rarely fitted 'as one'. Each to his own.

Hi Alan, further to what Doug has given, have a look at the model aircraft. they use clear plastic dial covers so your printed gauges will appear as one

Hola Alan, good idea 👍
I have a pdf file with lots of colourful dials and radio, radar etc front panels. Unfortunately this site does not have a pdf file handler so PM me your e-mail and I'll mail it to you.
Samples attached as jpg.
Saludos Doug 😎

Riva boat

Taking time building this Chris Craft Riva boat from scrap plywood but fun and a lot cheaper than buying a complete kit. Have just finished the hull and giving so far four coats of varnish. It's about 31inches long so thats some boat. Howes have supplied all the fittings and I am pleased they post here to me in Spain. Next step is to find some small dials to put on the dashboard to add some Glitz!!.
