We have now sorted the problem out and we are building a new, larger pool at Hooton Park which should be ready to sail in by May 1st. Future plans will be regular sailing days and invites to other clubs days to include tug towing competitions.

well our 2 day model boat show was a great success even if the weather was a bit iffy the model boat clubs turned to in droves traders did steady business our lake was full of boats for the 2 days rollon next yr thanks to hooton park trust forletting us hold the event

we now have over 50 members and some of them are youngsters who come with there parents but sail there own boats, so the future looks good for our club

Hi, I just emailed the waterways museum regards this year's spring model boat show and before I book my flights to the UK. Their terse response was that they will not be hosting the show this year or for the foreseeable future. Do you know if it will go ahead this year, and if so when and where ?

I have enjoyed the show at Ellesmere for many years, last year it was evident that something was wrong with the cafe closed etc, hope to see you guys next year at your new home. Good luck with the new show

Until last year we hosted the March Model Boat Show at the Ellesmere Port Boat Museum, but dwindling space and the Museum,s lack of proper support with regard to advertising, sadly caused us to not go ahead with it this year. We are planning, however, to have a Model Show in May 2019 at our new venue. Hopefully many of the traders will support this, watch this space!!!!
