Did you serve on (BBC) HMS Troutbridge Nerys?
    To paraphrase Cptn. Pobie's wife-
"Nerys! ARE you wearing ODD socks?" πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

Why doesn't that surprise me Doug? Mine are red and green and have their appropriate names, port and starboard, knitted into the top. They're the same as my barge mate are wearing!!!!

The mate on my barge 'Upnor' is on his first trip. If you notice, he's wearing 'port and starboard' socks to remind him which side is which. This is because he doesn't want to incur the skipper's wrath by, after he's lit them, putting the sidelights on the wrong sides.

    Hi DG,
    Very similar.
The one I use has a 1.7" TFT/LCD Screen that I can put on my bench if there is not a lot of room,
I also got it from eBay some years ago.
    Martin.
If it looks right it probably is.

Useful to describe the technique. I find that a bit of plastic weld fills all these gaps nicely at the small sizes I was doing. Once I try 1/24 scale I will need to be a bit more careful!

Is the microscope one of these? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1000X-8-LED-2MP-USB-Digital-Micro...

They look really useful...and a great idea for those of us with failing eyesight...
