Don't be so pessimistic Ken, Veronica was one of the fastest barges ever built, trouble is too many people a hoping to replicate that. I do hope both of us are able to attend AMBO meetings some time when Mr Drakeford allows it, then there'll be two of us vying for last place,

    Cheers, Nerys

That was the idea in the first place. If I was to go to the AMBO meetings.
But there again, haha, mine would be at the rear of the pack... lol.
    Cheers Nerys
    Ken,
    Stay safe both...

Yes Nerys, grey is my intended colour, with panel seams in a darker grey.

Ken, do you intend keeping them grey? or will you dye them before you fit them to the boat. I would be inclined to sew them first before washing, you might find if you wash them first the fabric will be too limp to handle easily. Whatever you do, I'm sure it will work out OK.

    Cheers, Nerys

Perhaps I should have mentioned this to you before Ken, but if you have white fabric for your sails, a real barge would not dress her sails brown until they were well stretched and the staysail was always kept white as it was considered a light weather sail. You probably know this anyway.

Ready to sew in the hem and seam lines. Lines drawn in, as per picture.
Awaiting further instructions on the use of Judyโ€™s sewing machine...

    Cheers for now

    Hi Ken

Just a polite enquiry as to the current status of Veronica's sails.

    Cheers, Nerys
