Hi Brian, I have been dealing with Banggood for about 4 years and have had no issues. Good shipping service as well. If you can't find something on AliExpress then Banggood might have it, (or vice versa) Just bought a servo and some pushrod bellows from them in the last 2 months.

An interesting watch about covid 19 from a prof of microbiology (30yrs experience). Is it as bad as it's made out to be and are we being over cautious?

Another vid showing how nice the CCP is to its' citizens☹️ Imagine treating people and companies like that in the UK or US, (or for that matter, any European company) Unfortunately, everyone who buys anything from China is in a way, helping to support this behaviour. Unfortunately we have been manoeuvred into almost having to buy everything from there, to the detriment of our own manufacturing capabilities. If the world could stop trading with them they would have to change. I do feel sorry for the average citizen in China being treated like crap and fed crap on a daily basis.

Again a bit off topic but similar (sort of to yours Nerys). About 10 yrs ago I restored a 1983 Suzuki GR650 motorbike and needed an ignition igniter pack. Tried everywhere to find one, emailed a number of Suzuki bike shops in the states and never even got a reply. Finally got a reply from a snowmobile (winter) ATVs bikes(summer) shop in Limerick, Maine (a tiny town inland about 25 miles in from Portland. Couldn't have been more helpful and I had the part in about 2 weeks, and also received a prayer with it (very religious area). That sort of place makes you want to go back. Funny thing was, the area looked very much like parts of our South Island in the winter yet it's about 9000 miles away as the crow flys.

You can see how small this town is in the pic, and where the sports shop is. I could not believe someone would reply from such a tiny place! Other pic is the main drag, - not a lot there!

I know this is a little off topic, but I would like to speak of a contact with AliBaba, as they were known then, that I had a few years ago. I had what I thought was a good idea for an item I wanted manufactured for me to retail. I wrote to six British companies and never received even an acknowledgement from any of them. I wrote to Ali Baba on line and within three hours had received answers from eight Chinese companies. So who got the order?

Cheers, Nerys

Hi JB,
That's why Evinrude went under during lockdown. The Chinese have inroads into Botswana and Zambia! Botswana have three major roads built by the Chinese and a power station. Zambia has two copper mines owned totally by the Chinese. Here in SA we have large 'China Malls' Even our Indian population are selling Chinese Goods.
I have recently been dealing with Bangood and I haven't had a problem mind you they have a forwarder here only deals with China shipments
5 days for 2 Flysky 10 Channel Receivers.

Hi Ian, don't know if you've seen the Aussie programme where the CCP are employing European ex army/police bully boys, to harass Chinese business people in Aust who have legally taken their money out of China, to sign over their companies to them, and they in turn will backdoor sell it to the CCP. Seems like they are trying to claw back money which is not theirs.

The Aussies have already thrown out a Chinese millionaire who had been sucking up to govt ministers and reporting back to the CCP. CCP have been trying to get a Chinese expat billionaire back from the US but the yanks won't give him back. That guy did a very interesting interview and mentioned that we have to be very careful about dealing with China as it runs 2 economies, -one internal and one external, in which businesses return percentages of profit to China by as demanded by the CCP.

They are attempting to 'buy' Fiji, the Vanuatu etc by lending them money for projects they don't need and can never repay, and when they default they will demand a port or project as payment. The Aussies have already leased the port of Darwin to the Chinese. How stupid is that? Darwins' theory comes to mind😀

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-03-19/can-darwin-port-99-year-lease-china-be-reversed-andrew-robb-role/10912478

Most small outboards from major manufacturers (Mercury, Yamaha, etc) are made in China along with almost everything else. Nice to be able to buy stuff at decent prices but really we are just cutting our own throats. Industries round the world have closed because of this cheap competition and stealthy takeovers. We actually allow a Chinese company to take water from underground here, bottle it and ship it back to China in millions plastic bottles (which the govt here is 'supposedly' trying to get rid of) and they don't pay a cent of royalties, (not sure if they even pay tax) because of this spineless two faced bunch of gays lesbians and no hopers in this labour govt bending over for them! Also sold many of our largest cattle and sheep stations to them as well. We won't have a country soon at this rate😠

Better start learning Mandarin😁

Hi JB,
I don't think it will affect the hobby industry to much. I have a business supplier in China who are producers of very large high quality castings and they are 49% European owned and many companies turning out high quality products in China also have a large percentage of 'Outside China' ownership.
I think the problem is that companies like Alibaba and Tencent are extremely large and also have overseas shareholders. Communist China wants a slice of that money making business.
China cannot afford to make Hong Kong a part of Mainland China's policies and edicts as it is the gateway to the world economy. Just check out RC Jaz and RC Mart their turnover must be Phenomenal!

Interesting vid on CCP interference in large businesses in China. Happening as can be seen to many large businesses in China. Might affect hobby purchases etc in the future.
