I've had the mini cramps, as good as any others I have. I didn't know about the new range of paint. Alice went in for the epoxy the other day but I'll go and have a look next time I'm near there.

    cheers, Nerys

    Packaging will always be different....
After working for big retailers for 30 years I know what the deal is!
Either way, we are in agreement Poundland glue is well worth the value! As are the mini clamps the craft knives and the new range of paint and varnish - the yacht varnish is very good!

That's most likely right Graham, but I haven't found any other brand with the same packaging. As far as the similarity between supermarket products, it's quite noticeable if you spread your shopping around.

    Cheers, Nerys

As with many things in this world you may find that Poundland bond together (which I also use) is actually a well known brand that has been packaged for them. I mean let’s face it Aldi And Lidil do the same - Belgium beer in Lidil comes from the same production lines as the M&S version and many of the biscuits in Aldi are from the same manufactures as other supermarkets.
I agree with R&D but production line limits allow the likes of Poundland and others to take spare capacity...
I don’t agree with the Turkish delight though, mind you I don’t like any variant of it!!🀣

My Go-To for most model build adhesives and resin is Deluxe Materials. (Via Krick over here.)
UHU and Pattex for general purpose 'round the house' stuff - available in all the local (sometimes not so-) supermarkets.

Hi Nerys I'm not sure they both fulfil the same purpose in the long term as you say "a similar outcome", so Ill pay the price for my peace of mind.

    Hi Nerys
    Comment noted.
But the world has become a place for offloading Chinese copies which sometimes are inferior!
Here in SA we get a lot of junk stuff.
    Regards

    Hi, mturpin,
I fully respect your opinion in this matter, but my take on this is- Adhesive A and Adhesive B they both do as they are supposed to do and stick things together. Adhesive A costs Β£1, Adhesive B costs Β£5 but both fulfill the same purpose so, why pay more for a similar outcome.

    Cheers, Nerys

"Doug, I think you've misread my thoughts. "
Not at all Michael! That's exactly what I understood and simply transposed to my experiences in shipbuilding and fitting out. Shipyards always tried to reduce their buying-in costs and pocket the difference πŸ™„ Fair enough ... until the wheels fall off πŸ€”
More than once my system designs were passed to the competition who then copied the configuration using inferior equipment / software. Sometimes individual equipments were copied 'almost!' 1 to 1. Often we were recalled (sometimes by the ship owner) to sort out the mess! πŸ˜‰
