Being ex RAF Bob also liked to play with model aircraft too, but he converted to boats and we spent many happy years making and running them together along with a few other local stalwarts from the catchment area between Trowbridge, Bath and district.
Bob was last heard of in the Leicester area some years back, but if he can be found he would be a valuable addition to our model boating community.

My good model boating pal who was always present when we went boating together has not been seen for a few years (we both moved out of the area) and I would like to get back in touch with him as I feel sure that he will still have the same interest in his model boats and know that he would inspire me to keep restoring the boats that we used to run together from the clubs River Avon and Kennett Canal sites to when we took part in one of the first ever off-shore races at Torquay in the mid-late sixties. Hopefully he will be a reader of this site - or will know someone that is πŸ‘
