OK, I have a problem I've built her and the float test is a failure she has water ingress on her starboard side midships!
The hull is made of plastic (ABS) i believe!
What can I do to, or put on the hull to keep her from sinking?
I used caulking but to no avail.
HELP!

If you cannot locate the leak the only thing I can offer is to fill the seam with epoxy.

Hi Haverlock

Thanks, I've been trying to track it down it's some where midships, I will do how you said and put Epoxy in the seam.
in the mean time I've had to glue a strip port to starboard midships and another far and aft along the seams that are exposed!
looks ugly but if it helps my boat float i don't care what it looks like! its all under water.
I'm trying to help it float because it's a $500.00 boat, and that's the cost without running hardware!

if its the dumas kit then they have used pvc for the plastic panels. This is a solvent glue for pvc

I guess you are in the US rather than UK but I expect you can search for an equivalent.

Hi Haverlock

Thanks for the suggestion, I will be ordering some this Friday!
The model still has a bit of water ingress but, I must be on the right trail, Because its slowing down.
I put glue on the outside seam, next is epoxy on the inside, hum!

Hi Haverlock
Really appreciate the recommendation on the pipe weld I'm ordering it a.s.a.p.
I was successful in stopping the leak, how ever I'm keeping the hull in a shallow bath to see if there's any water ingress!
I've placed 14 Cans of about 15 oz's a piece. into the hull to bring her down to the water line.
