I wouldn't mind either buying a made or unmade kit of a lightship. Does anyone know of any manufacturer making one please?

hi, I built this from scratch, drew my own plans from pictures I had so not exactly to scale it is about 14 inches long and sails well in my small pond. you can get the revel lightship on ebay some times but are getting rare now.

Looks an excellent job and detail is amazing especially as it was not built from a plastic kit.

Id like to see more models like this as they are ideal for small ponds.

Well done David

Beautiful work, original piece. Keep it up. Art is built according to the plans and not the kit.👍

high figtree, does this bring back any memories, made this from card from free download a few years ago. I like all the old light ships they have a lot of detail.

Hi David,

Great job on the Model, The Light Ship"AMBROSE" is a good memory for me!
I still remember having to go up her mast and change her lights.
She uses custom light bulbs rated at 150 Volts can't remember the amps though!

Thanks, for sharing the Picture just showed it to the wife.
She liked your model as well!

Ed.👍👍👍
