Time to show the progress of this building project. Thanks to the kind folks at Doyle Sailmakers Inc who sent me main sail data, I was able to make a 1”=1’ sail pattern.
I showed in an earlier post the rudder servo instalment, now here is the main servo installation that will control the Jib and Main. (A work in progress)
I have the lengths for the mast, boom, gaff but I am not sure if I will try turning them on the lathe or use a cut down mast from a Soling.
So you say, “What is new?” Doyle Sailmakers sent me sail material to make the main and jib. They also sent me sail dimensions and the main sail pattern.
Sam Lawrence of Bass River, Massachusetts, owns an older Wianno Senior. He has provided photos and building advice, plus and invitation to come down from Canada and go sailing on his boat to witness how these sailboats perform on the water.
All the RC elements are now installed and working.
