Hi, I’ve built one boat now I’m building a replica of my ship, what is a good 4 or 6 channel transmitter that’s not too expensive to get please. I’m a novice that’s willing to learn.

People seem to be impressed with the FlySky stuff. I just bought a 3 channel set for silly cheap money and it works perfectly straight from the factory. No binding to do either.

Planet kit is cheap and cheerful, if it's still in production. It's not got the most bells and whistles but it's functional and at an affordable price.
Take a look at the Howe's double page advert in MB magazine. They often have special deals.

Flysky i-6 is amazing value for money for a 6 channel computer radio. Hobbyking sell the same set with their Turnigy brand as the TGY i-6. You can buy the TGY i-6 from Hobbyking in the UK for around £45:-

Hi
I have both the Turnigy and Flysky 6 channel ones.
The same, great units and you can upgrade the switches and control knobs to a number of different colours if you wish.
Check out Banggood.

The flysky fsi6/tgy i6 upgrades to ten channels for the price of a of Data cable at £3.00 from hobbyking and a 10 channel telemetry rx £15.00 some sensers at £7.00 so it monitors main battery voltage and RPM which is very useful especially the voltage . RPM handy for prop choosing I have done my tx and now all I have to do is figure out what to do with the other channels better to many than not enough Good set and expansion at low cost 👍

Sort of cross between HobbyKing and Woolworths Martin!
I just used their German site to buy selections of LEDs and resistors, thanks to a tip from Ed (figtree!)

Thanks,
