I have never even hinted that I am in the process of selling up, so where this chap got that idea I don't know !

I have seen that you are having a bit of a clear out on model boats website.
I am new to the site and can’t see what you are actually selling.
Could you send me a list?

Kind regards

After a bit of detective work on my part, I see that a post claiming to be from me was posted stating that due to illness I am selling my fleet.
This is NOT the case and if I do intend to sell in the future I shall be adding a phone number to my ads.
I have emailed this Steve person and explained the situation to him and apologised for any disappointment on his part

I saw the post on the home page here that you had an unexpected illness and were selling.

So did I!
I also ran across this post from bilzin (AKA Bill Morrison-Bates) on the British Model Flying Association page

Also selling due to 'failing health'. Very odd 🤔 Failing memory perhaps!?

Hi, I was replying to the advert in items being sold, i received the reply back from Bilzin explaining he hadn't posted anything and was unsure where it had come from. Confusion cleared up very swiftly so unsure why this has become a new post requesting information as to who i was and if anyone else had received emails from me?
Kind regards

Bilzin, The only way a message from yourself could be posted is if someone other than you has access to your account, I would suggest a swift change of password is required to something radically different from your original password so it cannot be guessed by someone knowing your previous password.

This type of "spam" is not unknown, in that you can be hacked and end up sending out Spam to all your contacts. It has happened to me before and to some friends. As advised, check your security and change your password.
