If I go quiet it is because my wife is desperately ill. They are talking DNR notice. I'll keep you all informed as I can. John

Just reading your post mentioning your wife and DNR, I was told that last year about my mum, but now just read that you have lost your dear wife which has made me very sad , just remembering also my mum passed away so quickly.
I wish I could give you words of help, but life is so cruel at time, just try to remember all the good times that you have shared together, and I do believe you will meet again.

my warmest wishes for you John. Peter

Thanks luv you all. Btw doug did you ever reply to my query re voltage dropping. 15 v raw down to whatever needed for charging 7.4v (7.5/6 )???👍 What resistor would I need?

Hi John, Yes, two or three times actually.
I wanted to know the current the charger is rated for.
Should be on a label or embossed on the case somewhere.
Given that the calculation is easy.
V=I*R --> R=V/I
Given an initial charging voltage of approx 7.4 +10% = 8.14V and a charge current of 0.5A; V=15-8.14 --> 6.86
R=6.86/0.5 --> 13.72Ω so you need a 12 or 15Ω resistor.
P=I*V = 0.5*6.86 --> 3.43W.
So you need at least a 5W resistor.
A ceramic resistor if there is enough space.
Alles klar Herr Kommissar? 😉
Cheers, Doug 😎
