Hi, I have just registered here to try and re-unite a very beautiful yacht we recovered from the bottom of Llyn Padarn North Wales yesterday, its over 5ft high with its sails up, very heavy lead keel, full of electronics, there are pictures of it on "Facebook Dorothea Quarry" page (That's our usual dive site) its not been sunk that long as in quite good condition, Im sure someone will recognise it right away ..... Best regards Diver Mike
I have put your message on two other sites for you, so you should get some response soon I hope. as there is a group who meet up there on sunday mornings to sail there boats near the electric power station on the car park of main road.
Thanks lads, it would nice to see the owner get it back, it was quite a sight seeing it 20ft down, stood upright on its keel in full sail, we couldn't believe how heavy it was to drag back out
hi mike, not trying to be funny but a lot of people dont look in the tiny message box at top of site page just under where it says your model boats website this is where pm come to. just makeing sure as you are a new member.
Ladies and Gents, you are a brilliant group, my dive buddy Diver Tim has spoke to Dave and he has confirmed ownership of the yacht, I cant believe how helpful you have all been, we will be returning the yacht in the next couple of weeks when we next going diving in North Wales (Boat delivery service ha ha) when we carried that yacht up the slipway last Saturday morning, I didn't hold out much hope of re-uniting it with its owner, but everyone of you on here helped and you are a real credit to your hobby, if we can help recover any lost boats in the future, we may be able to help, obviously we have time and mileage limitations, but we just love diving new sites, you can always find us on the Dorothea Quarry facebook page, Mike Bailey Tim Kenney ...... best regards Diver Mike
