Another Aerokits restored some years ago. Very realistic on the water. I also have the 48" version in wood and a fibreglass hull both part built and to complete at some time.

Hi I am building the 35" version of this model, I started the build 30 years ago!!! after I bought the kit at a car boot sale for ยฃ3.00 !! it is an original Kiel Kraft kit probably 50 years old. Surprisingly the ply pre cut components are ok just a small amount of de-lamination of course band saw cut so not as accurate as modern laser cut. When I started I was a very active aero modeler but in the mid 90's went into classic cars so models became redundant. Any way started a couple of months ago to enclose the hull and have got to the decking after sealing the hull inside. I am planning to use a brushed motor with a 7.2 nicad pack with a 35mm 2 bladed prop. The photos of other builds have been most instructive thanks guys, I have noticed that on Dave's boat above the aft well is fairly low down. How did you manage to get the rudder post so low and where did you mount the servo?
