    Hi Dave,

    At least you are giving the model another life. Indeed, we have members in our Club who no longer build new boats but only buy used boats from donations, deceased member's estates car boot sales or ebay. Most then enhance or repair them before eventually selling them on.

    Many model boats then go on to be still sailing and providing real pleasure even many decades on!

    Each to his own - builder or sailer - but we are all United by a love for model boats. Most agree that our wonderful hobby is far better than wasting time playing golf once we are retired!!
