This is one of a few ships introduced in ww2 as steam turbines all variants of Grey only 7 were built out of 55 ordered from the period 1940 to 45 sold in 1949
She is a fibreglass hull wood deck with metal fittings I am told it’s Fine scale hull with a top made following I am waiting for back from fine-scale to confirm this a few details are missing but can remedy that it is one of there boats.
It turned out it was as some was special orders due to the variants in armament Grey Seal had a different configuration where as Grey Owl was double props and more guns and was wider

Unlike other types not so many guns I was contacted by chap whose father was at the base where she was they was fast but fuel consumption was great and made his father’s MTB look like a dingy

This makes for an interesting model. I came across info on the Steam Gunboat S304 Grey Fox (link below) with an action report and more model photos.

    Hi Stephen T
One of our members had a Grey Goose and I attach a pic as it does show some detail. I know I have more pics and will post if and when I can find them. Now posted.

Denny boats were built by William Denny and Brothers Dumbarton (on the Clyde).
