Purchased to sail when the wind is too strong for my J Class boats, this little plastic yacht has only one fault - The Cabin leaks if you don't tape it up - other than that it is a great little boat and lots of fun - how many yachts go as fast backwards as they do forwards?

She is a model of the original boat which was lost with skipper March 23rd 1983 off Portland. I had been building the static model since she was launched in March 1981 then ceased build when the tragedy took place and took my friend, the skipper. I recently moved to Burnham on Sea and joined Sedgemoor Model Boat Club and I was inspired to proceed with the build as an RC Model. Wish me luck !!!👍😊 The original boat was a Cygnus GM32. The hull and wheelhouse mouldings were supplied by Cygnus Marine Newlyn, Cornwall, as was the hull for the model. The boat was self built in Dartmouth by the owner/skipper as a Crab Potter. On completion she fished the waters off Dartmouth Devon during the summer months and then off Weymouth during the winter where she was subsequently lost en route for Dartmouth loaded with pots to transfer fishing activities back to home waters. She was a marvellous little sea boat and performed well in rough conditions. It is still a mystery until this day why she floundered. I hope her memory and the Skippers will live on through my model.

This little guy was built about 40 years ago. It is based on a ABS hull that was part of a Sterling kit made many years ago. I used the hull and just made up the rest. Originally it had a hedge clipper motor now it has a robbe motor and runs on 8 2/3 aa batteries. It is one of my favorites runners because it is little and really fast and maneuverable. Generally runs rings around other boats Currently it is on it third refit.

Scratch built Orca from movie "Jaws" Built from one 2 x 4! " We're gonna need a bugger boat" seeing my models people often ask if its a kit, and how much does it cost. Here I am holding the kit, one piece of wood, price $1.85 Here is the Orca in its carrying case. I found that this kind of carrier works well for me. It allows me to carry the boat in one hand leaving the other free to open doors, etc .It also makes it easy to put the boat down and pick it up again and protects it during transport.

Kaiserlich und Königlich (KuK) TB IV Recently built scale model boat (1:50). It is a fine art work. Length: 884mm Beam: 95mm One 3 blade propeller. Main armament: 2 45cm torpedo tubes, 2 4.7cm/L44 Skoda rapid firer. Crew: 20 people Speed:27.5 knots In 1905 the Austrian Naval Technical Committee presented three different designs for a 110t coastal torpedo-boat, mainly differing in the propulsion system (VTE or turbines). Having insufficient experience with turbines, a final VTE-propelled design with oil-firing was presented in 1907. To compare it with foreign technology, Krupp, Schichau and Yarrow were asked for competitive designs, all of which turned out to be inferior. Initially STT was ordered to build 8 such boats, but this was reduced to 6, because Danubius had to participate. When the older torpedo-boats lost their names in 1910 in favour of arable numbers, these units became in consequence Tb 1-Tb 6. The boats were surprisingly seaworthy up to sea state 5-6, and during the war they saw active service on escort, minesweeping and anti-submarine dunes.

Scratch built from Marine Modeller plans. One sail drum servo for the main and self tacking jib. A sail arm servo for the staysail and foresail. An extra servo to allow tension on the upper trisail. The bowsprit is an additional 10" on the overall length of the model. For RC sailing I have a 2.5kg detachable keel and rudder extesion ( shown in the photograph). All the deck winches are built from old clock parts. The lee boards are also functional and work in conjunction with the forward head sails and the sailarm servo. For transportation the top mast can be lowered and the bowsprit raised.
