I just thought I would post some photos of my HMS Cottesmore.
She is still a work in progress.
I have been working on her for about three years now.(in between other projects)
I purchased the hull And running gear from Fleetscale.
Everything else has been made by myself using odds and ends, bits and pieces including yogurt pots and a lot of LED's
I have a few more years work to do before she is completed, lots more bits to make.

I hope to work on her again soon .

Presumably sweeping gear next Martin ? Brilliant so far - funny how you need a break between all the detailed work - things get messed up if you are not in the mood.........

Makes me want to throw my small plain effort in the bin and go fishing or sailing! πŸ˜΄πŸš€β›΅

    Hi Red,
I still have a lot to do on the superstructure first.

I tend to start at the Bow and work my way back, that way I don't miss anything.
You definitely have to be in the mood to do the detail work.
And when I am in the mood something always crops up.

    Jb,
Looking at your work you don't need a bin, you definitely need glass cases to proudly display them.

Thanks Martin, but I build them to be servicable and not too fiddly. Even my planes get 'hanger rash' no mater how careful I am. I'm too clumsy to have such an intricate model as yours, - wouldn't get to the pod without damage!☹️ If the mast on the HSL wasn't spring loaded I would have broken that a dozen times by now! (mind you it's like a yacht mast)

I must admit my hart skips a beat when people get very close to Cottesmore.
Even though she is not finished I don't like moving her about to much.
When completed she will have a very strong case to protect her.

I totally agree Martin, every time I move my Yorkshireman or Irishman tugs, guarantee something will fall off, little bits, not big chunks!, and your HMS Cottesmore has some very fine detail work, love boats with deck clutter?you know what I mean.

    cheers Peter (Rooky)
