This is a aero-naut Classic and I would say that it's a second revision, as there has been changed several items, compared with the one my wife build 3 years ago. 1: The wind shield is now fixed in slots in the deck and not just glued to the edge of the cockpit opening. 2: There are now padding and leather for the seat included. 3: There are a few etched details for the instrumentation, steering wheel and step plates for the deck. 4: There are notches at the break off parts that will help in fixing the sides when gluing them in place. I used the same set-up as my wife's which is: Graupner BL Compact 260Z 1380KV with a Graupne ESC 18A FWD and REV. The shaft is replaced with a Robbe 4mm (no 1442) as the one provided is a flimsy part that will not withstand the motor set-up. Prop is a 33mm Graupner racing item. It will be running on LiPo 2S but if one need a rocket it can run on 3S. Great fun to build and performs great on the water

Credit for the design of this craft must go to Mote Park Club member 18 (Dave). I have not had the pleasure of meeting Dave yet but hope to in the near future. I looked at his Youtube entry and decided to build something very similar. Being a lone sailor most of the time, I thought it sensible to have some form of recovery craft. The craft was built in June 2017 and so far I have used it twice to recover other sailors craft! Worthwhile project and gives peace of mind when out on the lakes. Many thanks Dave! I added the camera so I could take some photos of my SeaSpray from a different perspective, I will upload photos as they become available.

Purchased as kit around 1972, fibre glass hull with ply deck and superstructure. Had many changes and refits over the years and was originally fitted with and OS Marine glow engine which gave good performance and was quiet! Changed to the MFA electric motor with ESC. Installed two LiPo batteries which makes the hull well balanced and allows the deep V hull design to plane as designed. Have designed and made two electro-magnetic lifting sticks which help me raise and lower the boat into the water. Age related launching aid!

This little Yacht was built as a RC boat from a modified plan for a free sailing pond yacht, Built by the Late Ken of our group who built 6 of these little craft but only completed 2 of them both in my ownership. Pudsey is a bit special as it represents the children in need charity which operates in the UK. Pudsey is a Yellow bear with a spotted eye patch which is represented in the boats livery and special sails. Sail's handmade by Ken's widow Joan. Not the fastest boat in my fleet but another popular with the public boat.

A wooden yacht that I am told is based on a fiesta (but presumably not the ford version) A fast and responsive sail and enjoyable. It had sticky back plastic deck accesses but I disliked them and made up balsa hatch covers instead, varnished in clear varnish they are more pleasing to my eye despite the lessening of water protection. can anyone recognise the design?

I love this 8 meter yacht, sail number K91 It has a great keel shape allowing weed to be ignored most of the time. Built by the southwater dabblers a while back and has been through a few owners before I brought her. Moves in the lightest of winds and copes with large gusts too. Am improvement on the basic model is the larger rudder allowing superb control (unless I get distracted!) Deck is lined in wood with a cabin top allowing access to the inner workings. I am running it on a acoms 27Mhz set as it has never let me down I can see little point in changing it to 2.4 Ghz The only thing I have done is added some portholes and a wheel to make it more realistic. As can be seen in last photo not all weed can be ignored!!!

Dumas kit - Jolly Jay - Built by Don Sutton, Metro Modellers of Toronto, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦. Very sea worthy vessel, the tall bow takes waves on the lake very nicely. This boat is a steady sailing model which is why Don recommended it to me for teaching the grandsons to enjoy using it. Though boys still want grandpa to build a “fast” boat...maybe next year!

1:48 scale Replica of USCGC KATMAI BAY (WTGB-101), fiberglass hull & 3/4" plywood cabin/superstructure, molded by Al Mergens @ Coast Guard Models in Elk Grove Village, IL. Most likely the last Bay Class hulls that Al will produce, as he is retiring from this craft soon. I wish I could afford to relieve him of the molds; he has one for just about every USCG cutter and coastal craft that was built. As a safer alternative due to COPD, I would use polyester fabric & resin instead of fiberglass. She is a great matching scale companion to my USCGC VIGOROUS (WMEC-627) model from the same source. A scratch-built stand-off model based on Model Boats free plan (design by GG). Material mainly balsa wood (hull) and plastic (styrene) on superstructure. Propulsion unit differs from the original design. This is a second set up, not really tested yet. Original set up was Speed 700 Turbo, 12 V NiMh battery pack 4100 mAh, it was 500 g overweight. The only "special feature" are working position lights. It was a pleasure to built and it is pleasure to sail her.

HIS WEBSITE IS COASTGUARD MODELS.COM IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED. I PLAN TO ORDER A USCG BAY CLASS ICEBREAKING TUG THIS WEEK, BEFORE IT'S OBSOLETE. THAT WOULD ALSO COMPLETE MY USCG FLEET THAT IS RELATIVE TO MY SERVICE. THERE ARE NO SUPERSTRUCTURE ASSEMBIES AVAILABLE FOR THE WMEC, HENCE A SCRATCH BUILD FROM THE MAIN DECK IS IN MY NAUTICAL FUTURE.
