FELIX - Posted: 3 months ago by Inkoust
Model German docks from Krick, ABS hull, superstructure plywood, model is illuminated with reflector, position lights and mast, drive DC motor MIG 500 Boat 12V, controller 45A Turnigy bidirectional, LiPol battery 7.4 V 4000mA. The model has good stability and driving characteristics. I recommend this kit to all mildly advanced modellers. Good and accurate version of the model kit.😉

Hi Doug,
thank you very much for praise. The eyes are really better I've had some health problems but I'm fine now and so I can go to work on the boats. I've got enough of it, and maybe I can get it over the winter. And what have you got a new project.
I'm really looking forward to Munich. Zdenek.😉
Response by RNinMunich on the 29th Sep 2017
Hi Zdenek, Welcome back! Glad to hear you are better now👍
New project: I just acquired a 71cm Elco 80 PT Boat 😊 which I will refit as John F Kennedy's boat PT 109. Already have the crew and the MTB Green paint. 37mm gun for the foredeck is on it's way😉
4th pic is the crew with JFK on the right.
Last two pictures show what it should look like when I'm finished.
Viele Grüße aus München, Doug

Hi Doug,
ELCO 80 is a great piece, it's a great fast and skilled ship. So I wish a lot of success in the construction of this model and I will like to watch the construction. I wish a nice evening to Munich. Health Zdenek👍

That's gotta come out as..... Cheating 😂
Clever thinking. But cheating none the less. Sod the expense. Nice one Les 😊

Hi Nutrunner, first pic, young lad sailing his boat, wonderful to see, in that pic of 5 boats, 2 were RTR, again its great to see people sailing boats, who cares that they bought it!!! I by boats of Ebay, so what i didn't build it. Encourage by display, not discourage with attitude.
Response by rolfman2000 on the 23rd Sep 2017
Nice photos Leonard. As Jarvo said, it's nice to see youngsters and families in the pics as well as the normal "older guys". Keep up the good work. Best wishes, Dave W 😊

I'll second (or third?) that 👍😊

all these boats are scratch built only thing purchased was brass tube for mounting on a base, all these would have made up workboats on board Nelsons ship HMS Victory.

GALA DAY VARIOUS - Posted: 3 months ago by Les-Forbes
Knightswood Boating Club Glasgow. A pipe band was in attendance today, making the fun and excitement even more intense. Why did I think this was going to be a small affair. I was so wrong. Well done Knightswood Boating Club.

GALA DAY VARIOUS - Posted: 3 months ago by Les-Forbes
Knightswood Boating Club Glasgow. Part 2. Again, great day with smashing stalls and a childrens play centre, with Knightswood Club providing a variety of small power boats for the children to get "Hands On' experience. It was a joy watching their faces when they realised it was THEM that was actually sailing the boat's. My only regret I didn't have my small grandson with me.
