Wooden structure model fishing boats. Was done on his knee at home in the kitchen from the remnants of plywood, balsa etc. Motor 1 pc 600 with water cooling, 1pc battery NiCd 3000 mA. Excellent handling characteristics. Even though it was not good at handling the water looks great.

These little corvettes were the backbone of the Atlantic defence of the supply convoys from Halifax Canada to Britain from 1942 to 45
Here she is with steam engine engaged for checking before recent sailing complete with Asdic sound
This was used to echo signal of enemy submarines to pinpoint their position

A ship that I served on 1966 - 1969 Scratched Built. (Sails well)
Wiesel German Torpedo Boat was given by a family who had dropped it and smashed completely had to rebuild(persons were going to dustbin it + radio and engines SAVED( and sails well)

A great scale model meticulously built by a master builder. I've had the opportunity and pleasure to watch this ship being built over the past couple of years. The detailing has to be seen to be appreciated. A real credit to you Rod.

Basically scratch Built except for the hull supplied by Fleetscale
Scale 1:48
Canadian Corvette and powered by single screw Saito steam engine
Lighting throughout with bilge pump and Asdic sound system
Sails scale speed beautifully with smoke generator adding realism
To steam power
