Hi John. You should be able to see a recent video of Sweet Sue Steam launch taken at Kowhai Park in Feilding. Let me know. Cheers Kevin
Response by Johnlikessailing on the 27th Apr 2017
Hi Kevin, I can not see the video. Where have you uploaded it?

Ta, John.
Response by sandkb on the 27th Apr 2017
Hi John.
Go to video gallery. Click on. Scroll through the first page and you will come across 3 videos of Sweet Sue Steam launch. The first one is a test run up out of the water. The next 2 videos are taken at Kowhai Park. I've just checked all 3 and they are displaying. If you still have trouble Google up you tube and search for Sweet Sue Steam launch. They're in there too. Cheers Kevin

Hi and welcome to the site.
If you are considering using an IC in the model I suggest you find a local club or water where you can sail. Many local authority waters prohibit IC engines.
I see you recently asked for details of a club in Torquay and note that we do have a club registered (Model Boat Clubs) as Torbay and District MBC. You could try sending a pm to one of the members registered as sailing there and ask for details.
Good looking crew!
Dave

Norstar Wave Princess - Posted: 1 month ago by AllenA
Built this Wave Princess 30 years ago meaning to use it with my children. Languished in attic since and now retired going to resurrect her for Grandchildren and would welcome any advice on motor size, prop shaft length, Propeller size etc etc. Picked up an as new MacGregor Digimac 111 transmitter receiver and servos at Boot Sale for £5, seems fitting I should use it for the old girl.

Steam Launch. "Sweet Sue " - Posted: 2 months ago by sandkb
I built this vessel from scratch using a pre made clinker fibreglass hull purchased from Mini Steam Australia. The engine is an oscillating twin cylinder and the boiler is a 3" Centre Flue Gas Fired Vertical Boiler from "Miniature Steam". The gas tank is a 1-1/2" vertical refillable GasTank also from Miniature Steam Pty. Australia. The vessel is radio controlled with the skipper appearing to control the rudder. It has a smoke generator and a rc controlled steam whistle.

Sweet ❤️ ❤️❤️ Heart - Posted: 2 months ago by Grandpa
You have seen it being built. Now it is done. A Nor-Star Kingfisher kit but with some scratch building too. Because of the motor being longer than how the kit was originally designed, the second bulkhead was altered. I am running it with two 2400 Ni-MH 7.2 batteries, a Futoba servo, on a 2.4 GHz Spektrum.

Scratch built in 1/16 scale in 2016 on a modified GRP hull. Powered by one 385 electric motor. Sail her on Mary Stevens Park Pool, Stourbridge.
Though built in the 1950's this boat is still in use on the Norfolk Broads and can be hired out.
