This is a new project in the photo you see over £400 of kit to build the Tug after another £110 or so and hours of building the tug will only fetch around £250 why bother?

Because that's what we do

The hull looks in good shape from the photo. Have fun with the restoration though. Plenty of scope...Could be steam powered?

All the best. Brian

Much better than the hull of the ancient Billing fish cutter Gina 2 I've just started to restore and convert. Took the deck out last night to reveal the awful hull planking 🤔
Good luck, will watch with interest 👍
Cheers, Doug 😎

Nice area to sail your boats. Is it recent that you were able to sail?
Right now we have ice pellets and freezing rain coming down.
Response by Krampus on the 15th Apr 2018
Hello! Even with the long and snowy winters, there is always a chance to sail around here as there is a local small lake fed with water from underground thermal sources, so no icebergs nor duckling poop minefields in the area. Just snow during the time, and I can survive with that. This particular pond, which is the closest to home, just reopened yesterday. Weather dramatically improved since last week so "Alles ist Gut" :)

What a tranquil place to sail your tug... thank you for sharing the view.

I see that you have modified her to her later state, no lifeboats and the large towing winch on the rear deck. What motor does yours have? Mine is running a 24v motor with a 90mm brass prop.

Hi Colin, looks like Humbrol / Revell Deck Green to me. As used e.g. on RN WW2 ships in the North Atlantic. Did my HMS Hotspur with this.
Cheers Doug 😎
Hi Jugge: congratulations your Amsterdam is a super job 👍👍👍
Do not apologise for your English - you do not want to hear my attempts at Swedish! 😲😡
