Norfolk Wherry - Posted: 4 months ago by CB90
Some pictures of my Dad's Norfolk Wherry seen here at Eton Park, Norwich. It will be featured in September 2018 "Model Boats" magazine along with his mates Wherry.
It is about 4ft long note my 3ft 72nd scale Corvette looks small next to it.

Stunning model, I'm looking forward to getting around to building mine.

Very nice indeed, it looks like 'Albion",which I had the pleasure of looking around at Oulton Broad; it's an excellent model. I also bought a set of plans from the preservation society so it seems we'll have the makings of a fleet soon!

Marblehead all set to go - Posted: 4 months ago by Ron
The owners of this sailboat are putting it in the water today after nearly a year in the repair shop. Should go like a graceful greyhound.

I will post more photos as they come to me.

Nautic - Posted: 6 months ago by watson220
Model Yacht Nautic from Grapner.
The hull is not original but is made of laminate. The deck is made of mahogany strips.
The boat engine is a MIG 480 powered by a Lipol 7,4V 5000mAh battery.

Nice one! I remember this from when I was a kid! We're talking 1973-ish :)
Response by watson220 on the 12th May 2018
Nautic on the water has not yet been but everything is ready to just put the battery and swim

Nice job👍 Beautiful decking!
Crazing on the white hull looks similar to the problem I had with the clear lacquer on my Sea Scout. Surface stress?🤔
What did you use for paint / lacquer?

2 Unknowns - Posted: 9 months ago by SelwynWilliams
Two models seen at the Plymouth Gin Factory in the Barbican. Whilst there I had to sample the product and chose the Plymouth Navy Gin, which is gunpowder proof at over 57% and like drinking a single malt compared to a blend. Recommended. We were in Plymouth for the IMASS shipwreck conference the next day, which ranged from Byzantine to WW1 Naval shipwrecks, including HMS Hampshire and HMS Vanguard.

Lovely looking boats and you sound as if you had a great time in Plymouth too.

Ready go sailing! Added a Robbe sail winch and HS-322HD. Chose not to make a continuous loop for the winch but decided upon a single elastic sheet line which keeps tension on the winch w/o getting twisted up under the spools.
