    Hull &Deck
    Now got motor mounted am using a five pole, speed will be fast enough and these motors run quieter better to hear sound generator. Have put in supports for extra fittings, also added some cross pieces just to stiffen up the hull. Cut out the holes in bulwarks for doors and added two extra at stern for bollards. Base is also fitted for battery boxes with a piece of 50x6mm flat bar for ballast will add more at later stage if required. Drilled and fitted the intake for the cooling water. (Caused a bit of bother when checking out water line for ballast. Had the deck on with all the parts spread on deck didnโ€™t need any ballast, till I found a lot of water ballast. Forgot to seal the input pipe.oh dear!!) Have fitted a piece of trunking along the side for the cables.
    Decks
    fitted out. Bow piece has 2 plastic tubes 5mm I/d fitted to hold leds for interior lighting with hole out at anchor winch for access to lights two blocks with inserts for fastening down winch. Wheelhouse also cut at bottom as going to be removable for access to lamps etc. White plastic on deck is for holding battery cover in place. Cutout for power on/off switch and a bit of extra support for forward mast also extra support on stern as that is for sound loudspeaker.

    46'' RAF Crash Tender
    Hi Elsrickle, Those are the same drawings that I posted 6 days ago. if I remember correctly Martin (Westquay) sent them to me a year or so ago to ask me to enhance them a little so we could decipher the text describing the paints used. Thanks for blowing up the text ๐Ÿ‘ It confirms as I had posted;
    Decks
    , cabin sides and tops were all the same shade of grey. https://www.e-paint.co.uk/Lab_values.asp?cRange=BS%20381C&cRef=BS381C%20631&cDescription=Light%20grey
    Decks
    non-slip, cabins smooth. No white anywhere. But if you like white - Why not?๐Ÿ˜‰ Cheers, Doug

    Hull Construction
    After a bit of research found plans for the hull on EBay. Delivered on a CD, Frame sections and keel printed out and stuck on to plywood. Using a scroll saw cut them out. This hull is built from the keel up. The keel was secured to a 75x50mm batten. Frame then glued to the keel. Spacers were cut and glued at deck level.
    Decks
    fitted and hull planked from just below deck level, working down each alternating side. The hull was then shaped and smoothed. A coating of car body filler and then a rub down and painted with an undercoat.
