    Talking of post boxes, JB. we are lucky enough to have one right outside our house, admittedly it obstructs the drive, it is emptied at 9 am in the morning. Actually in this area, south west Wales, there are quite a few post boxes around the streets, but several post offices have closed in recent years. My sister lives in a fairly rural part of France. Post Offices close for a long weekend around any Saints Day, and they are quite frequent, often no post leaves the area between Thursday and Tuesday.
    Lorries
    carrying post are not allowed to travel on Saturdays. One of her nearby Offices does not sell stamps, the other seems to have no fixed opening times. She tries to run a small internet selling business and curiously enough gets complaints about deliveries because a parcel to the UK takes about three weeks and to the US four or five. Nerys
