    Just an idea I am going to use on my

    is a small lighting pull switch the type with a cord this can be passed through the hull in a thin plastic tube to reduce any water ingress,this will sav removing the top too often, will let you know at the end of the season or if I get an early failure will let you know sooner. Stour boy.
