Paint for Thames River Police Boat.
    Rob I noticed in the
    pathe
news links you gave there were two different colour schemes particularly in the deck area, another decision to make!

Paint for Thames River Police Boat.
Hi Mike. Yes I have seen the that site and also some interesting
    pathe
films on YouTube featuring the Thames Police in action, some in colour but you can't really identify the hull colour. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuM_PNrEElU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i69pxalB9-Q I would like the hull to be an authentic colour for the period when these boats operated during the 50s' & 60's. The modern boats seem to have a much lighter blue colour on the hull. Thanks for your suggestion though. Rob.

Brass bashin' Chris Craft deck fittings...
    Found this on British

    Huge liner model from 1929
    I often visit the British
    pathe
site, which has an archive of over 60,000 film clips covering an infinite range of subjects, going back to the beginning of the 20th century. I have wasted many hours looking at it. However, if you visit the site and punch in Miniature Mariners, (www.british
    pathe
.com/video/miniaturemariners/query/miniature+mariners), you will find an interesting selection from 1929, that includes the still extant Victoria Park Club running a hydroplane with a huge audience. The clips finish with a truly awesome liner model of about 40 feet length and apparently sea-going. The information board ( it was a silent film in 1929) tells us very little: it is French and 40 foot long. I know that it is a long time ago and French but do any other sailors know more about this?

    Command Boat 90
The Real Boat has jet drives, but unfortunately the little 20mm ones on the NDQ boat would not move a 52in version shown, there are larger jet dives for models available from Germany but it would cost a lot more than my budget would allow. I did try to make some but they were unsuccessful. I have seen them fitted to other smaller CB90's but the crash stop looks

RAF Rescue Launch In Motion Picture!
HI Paul, that is the whole video, British
    pathe
do give you the option to download the same length video but at a better quality if you wish. Type in "air sea rescue" to their website and all the info will come up. You can also download stills etc. but it all costs unfortunately. I did debate for about 0.0001 of a second on whether or not to pay the 500 pounds they were asking for to enable me to put the full quality video clip on this site. But then I decided to put petrol in my car instead! 😎
