PO Hargett reporting. Texas Squadron flagship โ€œSan Jacintoโ€ maintenance complied with. However, Iโ€™ve been told by the chief engineer that she might not be with us for long. Having a hard time keeping flank speed due to inadequate boiler pressure, several hull cracks have been noted and repaired due to numerous run ins with Oklahoma insurgents, and sheโ€™s just old. Iโ€™ve taken the liberty of inspecting whatโ€™s berthed in the McKinney dockyards, several tugs and launches, a police cruiser and thereโ€™s a new search and
    rescue boat
coming out of the yard, but nothing military capable. Thereโ€™s still the option of the Japanese PT boat that is in CKD (complete knocked down) status, or I might approach the Commodore to see if funds can be released for something more suitable. Thereโ€™s a builder on your side of the pond, Deans Marine I think is the name, has a riverine PBR that would be very well suited for the missions we get here. Please advise as to best course of action. LT Errol Cat has taken the launch with a few marines to investigate rumors of more Oklahoma rabbit hit and run operations, I have full confidence in his capabilities to accomplish his mission. We have the San Jacinto steaming into Lake Texoma, will make full report soon. PO Cash Hargett

    Motor, speed controller
    Hi there, this is a
    rescue boat
which was being used by one of our members on Sunday - sorry about the quality of the picture - as I had to blow it up from another photo. I thought it may give you an idea as I am sure it uses a 500 motor as a drive and its got two smaller 400 motors, I believe, driving smaller props either side of the model rather than the bow thrusters. It also has two arms on the front to capture the stricken model. Its about 18 inches to 2 foot long and if he brings it down this Sunday, I will try and get more detailed photographs of it if you wish. I may have all the details wrong, as I haven't had much time to look at the model - it belongs to Terry from the Club, anyway. :-)+
