Good luck with the build. I look forward to seeing the progress on here. It's an interesting ship. Looking more like an armed pirate fishing boat. It certainly is a good looking boat to build. Best wishes, Dave W 😊

Hi all, I am in the middle of building Drumbeat of Devon. The problem I have is the kit was purchased quite a few years ago and with moving home 3 times I have managed to lose the 5 cabin front styrene windows. I am hoping someone can help me make or have scale drawings? Cheers Jerry

[Score: 10/10] 32"/3000g Rachel (drumbeat of devon) fisheries patrol model slipway Capable of 5mph and a runtime of 80mins Twin Propellors (4 Blade 40mm) Direct Drive to a Std 540 with kit (4 Blade) Powered by NiMH (8.4v) 4Amp/h Batteries Controlled Through action p94 dual mixer (40Amps) ESC - Comments: Originally purchased this when I was 16 In 1994 and with my limited skills at the time was never quite finished to my ideal standard and never managed to get It running right. Got consigned to the loft when I discovered the joys of college (girls and alcohol) then a house move when I moved in with my girlfriend (now wife) It got a little worse for wear. Now I am 38 and during the early part of 2014 It has been resurrected and I am extremely pleased with It. Running nearly all action electronics P94, (will list more soon) apart from the graupner bow thruster which is on robbe minI 200, Planet t7 tx, r7m rx, custom lighting. planning on fitting a working anchor winch before the Heron regatta on Aug 30th.

fireboat update by Flack Fleet Admiral!   Posted: 5 years ago
I tried the Perspex route to replace the windows on Drumbeat of Devon, It was an absolute nightmare, tried everyway to cut the stupid stuff and failed every time. 😡 I ended up buying 1mm plastic sheet which cut easily and cleanly with a Stanley knife. By the time It was attached to the outer window frame It worked well 😀
