    Blackpool Boat Show 2019
I went to Blackpool a couple of years ago, we had a good time, never seen so may nuns walking around with a pint of beer in their hand. Atmosphere was brilliant, fish and chips every other shop. Brilliant few days.

    Entry Level Steam Boat
Checked the Loyalhanna dockyard for something else and found they are advertising Saito engines so the they must be back in production - know they stopped production in the mid 80's - apologies if I mislead you. You should check out Loyalhanna Dockyard site for yourself - they may well have a suitable hull as well.

Apologies if I am sounding stupid Stephen, but cannot find this 'Media gallery', if you could re-word on the rank table, it may trigger a brain cell!

    Waverley and Balmoral
Watching Sherlock Holmes last night with Waverley masquerading as a cross channel packet - great stuff. Loved the trips on her - Bournemouth/Weymouth and return . On one return had wind and waves behind - captain remarked we were practically surfing - about the fastest she had ever been........ Would love a trip on Maid of The Loch - in another lifetime perhaps.........

    RC Laser
RC Laser - not a home brew of course, but for many years an object of desire due to simplicity of design, assembly, aesthetics and convenience. Love the Laser, but the Wee Nip still my "go to" boat.
    HMS Brave Border
HMS Brave Borderer, MTB another vessel in the fleet, served from 1960 to 1970 coastal patrol, prototype turbine powered...in dry dock for some minor structural and internal works....crew on leave, however a small duty watch aboard....more to follow.....😎
    Southampton Tug Boat
Latest addition to the fleet. Southampton Tug Boat, modelled on the Wyeforce. However battery compartment very small, as mentioned on a youtube upgrade, lifted main deck and removed battery housing from bow, generates a lot more room for a bigger battery....more to follow...maiden shortly....😎
    Mickey Finn
Purchased original Rojair Mickey Finn from Ashton Models 35 years ago - hull suffered damaged so made a F/G mould before repairing and sailing. Made spare hull from mould and there she sat for 35+ years. Original Mickey was sold many years ago but as retirement approached the burning desire to fulfill old challenges re-emerged. So , after putting out calls for help, diagrams, photos or information on the model boat forums, thanks to "John Dowd" and a couple of other guys, I finally got round to resurrecting this fantastic 36" yacht.
    Chris Craft Catalina 8'
8' long......I saw this boat online about 8-10 years ago from an estate of an elderly man who was amazingly talented and built this Chris Craft Catalina. Note the fellows finger pointing at her engine. He was 93 years old and left us in 2009. His name was Tony and he started in 1958 was competed about 1959. He made all the metal work ,engine running gear. Exact scale model, All brightwork hand made and plated, working doors, sliding windows, All lights work, Evinrude 3HP outboard powerhead customized to fit in the boat, custom made twin counter rotating gear box, dual wet exhaust, full trailer to haul it around. All of the trim around the cabin and the rub rail is polished stainless and screwed on to the boat. The gauges can be read...Clearly. You reach in the side window and pull a lever to release the cabin. The blinds even work and were scratchbuilt. Redcraft in CA made all the brightwork and converted the engine. But the story goes that the two of these guys just decided to build the ultimate model boat. It won every contest ever entered. It was disqualified once for not having a scale powerplant.....So they made a working scale chris craft V-8 for it OMG! Red said that the owners son still had the V-8. Chris Craft themselves offered a huge amount of money for the boat at one time but the builder turned them down. Red has the letter from them that has the offer. All this info was from 2009.
"Genie" was classic Marblehead design from Vic Smead.
    Yorkshire Man Tug
Yorkshire Man tug kit by Model Slipway, one of two tugs sent to the Falklands, sister ship Irishman. Powered by two belt driven motors, two 12v -7 amp batteries, spectrum radio DX6i, motors on individual sticks. Peter (Rooky)
    Steamboat Willie and Swimmenwagan
Steamboat Willie is 36" long beam of 12". Boiler is scratched built and uses a Anthony Bowaboy Oscillating steam engine single cylinder. Since there is no reverse I use a kitchen rudder that I fabricated. Boat is almost done need coamming and interior details to complete. Burner is a optimus modified back pack stove and uses whit gas. The Shwimmenwagan is a modified Ultimate Soldier toy and is scaled as 1/12.
