[Score: 5/10] 42" Blue peter 7 Twin Propellors (5 Blade 55mm) Direct Drive Powered by LiPoly (11.1v) 4Amp/h Batteries - Comments: Recently managed to purchase a stored non built secondhand kit, being a speedline model, should be a great build too
I'm sorry to say. But this is what I hear about Speed line time and time again. Someone will pop up and say about one of the main guys being ill. But this has been the "excuse" for well over 12 months. I also know of peple being kicked off forums for saying this as well 🤔 but the truth is the truth. I have some 1/16th(I think) lifeboat crew, which you can have if you are interested. I got them with a 1/12th Trent I bought, but they are nowhere near the right scale. Best of luck getting a response from Speedline. Chueers, Dave😊
Does anyone know where I can buy Speedline 1:17 Lifeboat crew or does anyone have any for sale. I’ve been trying to get a response from Speedline various email addresses and phone numbers for several weeks without success so I’m guessing they’ve gone out of business
1/12 scale Severn lifeboat kit from Speedline. Creeping towards completion but still a bit to do. Absolutely beautiful day and venue. 2 1/2 years to get to this point but really pleased with it and enjoying sailing it immensly.
Thanks for that Doug, There are several hulls for Thames Barges available, but to me, a novice, the complexity of fittings required is rather daunting and the Speedline kit does contain everything. The disadvantage is the smaller size whereas the Fleetscale hull is more in keeping with the size most common amongst model barge builders. Cheers, Nerys.
I have been considering building 'Annie', but the company that I have seen advertising this Thames Barge Kit is called Speedline Models. Presumably we are talking about the same model. Best regards, Nerys.
Hi Martin Thanks for your reply if you could lay your hands on them I would be very grateful. I have not started the build yet (have the Speedline kit waiting) but am at present in the process of restoring a very sad Happy Hunter Regards Bob aka Little Charlie
Hi Going on their advert it looks like an old H.F.M kit brought up to date, I had the H.F.M one back in 1990 that cost me all of £70.00, if I remember right I had to increase the under water size of the rudder. As for sailing I don't remember much as after a few times out, I found that sail boats just was not my thing. Sorry that I can not be any more help Fred
